Slawomir Micek was born in 1956 in Debica. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow at the Faculty of Industrial Design. He defended his diploma in 1980. Since then he has lived and worked in Kielce. He is a member of the Association of Sculptors. He runs his own studio and sculpture gallery in Kielce. He specializes in sculpture realized in bronze and marble. He creates large-scale objects and intimate sculptures. He has to his credit many commemorative sculptures, statuettes, commemorative medals as well as outdoor sculptures reazlized for the benefit of the city. He participates in numerous competitions and exhibitions. By donating his works he supports numerous charity auctions.
