Patinated bronze on granite base, design 1975, limited edition 1986, diameter: 6.5 cm, base dimensions: 3 x 4 x 4 cm. Work numbered at the top, on the rim: "075".
In the circular space of the medal on the obverse, the artist included an allegorical scene in which a beast (Yetisyn) is a reflection of Soviet oppression of Polish prisoners. The monster mistreats its victim with hammer blows, pointing the barrel of a gun at him and entwining its tentacles around him. The tormented man, in his last breath, lets out a cry for the nation's freedom, which is illustrated by the Polish Eagle hovering above his head. A row of figures depicting the mass murder of Polish prisoners and inscriptions are placed in the bordure of the main scene: "AHUMAN and HUMAN | REMEMBER KATYÑ." The reverse side features a description and remembrance of the 1940 crime in English.
