Patinated bronze on oak base, 48 x 26 x 28 cm, signed on the back: "Dunikowski".
Stefan Flukowski (1902 - 1972) was a writer and poet associated with the Kwadryga group, one of the first representatives of surrealism in Polish literature. Flukowski maintained a close relationship with Dunikowski after World War II, and his wife Maria was even the artist's secretary. The couple worked on a monograph of the artist's work, creating him as a state art artist. Dunikowski left numerous portraits of the Flukowskis in both sculptural and painted techniques.
