Rare issue of a ducat minted on the occasion of the wedding of the daughter of August III Saxon, Maria Amalia with Charles IV of Sicily, the ruler of Sicily and Naples, the future king of Spain.
On this occasion, in 1738, a series of commemorative coins, two-grosz, 2/3 thaler and ducats were issued at the Dresden mint.
Beautifull coin with cartwheel effect on both sides.
