Studnicki is an artist of immense artistic and pedagogical achievements. He studied at the Krakow Academy of Fine Arts with Józef Mehoffer, Wojciech Weiss, Karol Frycz and Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski. He stayed with the Capists in Paris where he continued his studies under Jozef Pankiewicz. From 1932 to 1937 he exhibited with the Pryzmat group. After the war he found himself on the Coast where, being a professor and dean of the painting department of the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Sopot, he became a co-founder of the so-called Sopot School, characterized by a synthetic variety of colorism close to realism. Since 1962 he was a professor at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. His works are in state and private collections in Poland and around the world.
