An extremely rare book!
"The prelude, as it were, to "The Olive Lamp" was the ballad mystery "The Night of St. John the Evangelist", carefully published at the time in terms of graphics and typography, with an excellent cover by Edward Porządkowski. In connection with the publication of this book, Zegadlowicz writes that Foltin skinned him, billing him a dizzying sum, but immediately adds, "It is a graphic masterpiece, and that comforts me."
Additionally bound from Robert Jahoda's Bookbinding Company - signed binding, it was exhibited by the Society of Book Lovers at the June/July 1925 Book Binding Exhibition - this is evidenced by a sticker affixed to the back cover.
RRR!
