Szczególne miejsce w twórczości artysty zajmuje rysunek. Jest dla niego punktem wyjścia wszelkich działań artystycznych. Chlanda rozszerza definicję rysunku o cechy innych mediów, a nawet interpretuje jego możliwości w perspektywie performatywnej.
