Initially he studied drawing with F. Roliński, W. Dymitrov and P. Kowalewski. From 1907 to 1910 he studied at the Warsaw Drawing School under J. Kauzik and M. Kotarbiński. Then, from 1910 to 1912, he further studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts under Stanislaw Lentz. He belonged to several creative groups, including the Zacheta Group, the Team, the Independents and the Warsaw Art Society. He exhibited at Warsaw's TZSP, Krakow's TPSP, Poznan, and in later years also in Sopot. He painted interiors, in addition to architectural motifs, still lifes, flowers, as well as portraits and genre scenes.
