JAGODZIŃSKI Lucjan (1897-1971).
Pastel on cardboard, signed "LJagodziński" in pencil. (B.r.). Depicts a man and a woman holding a sheaf of grain tied with a red and white ribbon. Socialist realist propaganda scene. Dimensions: 25 x 17,4 cm.
Very good condition, on the back not soiled. Lucjan Jagodzinski - painter, studied at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts and the private Konrad Krzyzanowski School in Warsaw, among others. During his stay in Paris, he benefited from the guidance of Olga Boznanska. He painted portraits, nudes and figural compositions, but his main domain was applied graphics - he designed illustrations, stamps, placards and posters. Author of film and propaganda posters.
