Painter and stage designer, associated with the Krakow art community, co-founder of the Second Krakow Group. Educated at the Kunstgewerbeschule from 1941-1942, he continued his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (1945-1947), and at the Polytechnic Faculty of the Cracow Academy of Mining. As a stage designer, he worked with the Groteska Puppet and Mask Theater and the Old Theater. Together with his wife Lidia Minticz-Skarżyńska, he designed scenery for more than 200 theatrical and film productions. He was a lecturer at the Stage Design Studio of the Theater, Film and Television Academy in Cracow. As an illustrator, he cooperated with "Przekroj", among others, as well as with book publishers, designed posters, and was a promoter of comics.
