Marcin Kolpanovich (b. 1963), Stairway to Heaven, 2016

In 1987 he defended his diploma at the Faculty of Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, but took his first painting lessons from his father, Andrzej Kolpanowicz, a well-known surrealist from Cracow. The author focuses mainly on oil painting and pastel. He takes up fantasy themes, but also pursues more academic motifs. Marcin Kolpanowicz has presented his works in more than 20. individual exhibitions at home and abroad (including New York, Paris, Cologne, Linz, Wuppertal, Aschau, Krakow, Szczyrk and Krzeszowice) and in numerous group exhibitions.
