Mariusz Krawczyk graduated from the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1994. He received his diploma with honors in the studio of Prof. L. Ząbkowski. He is fascinated by dark, open spaces bordering on abstraction. Working in oil technique, he creates a multilayered painting tissue, a dense matter composed of texture, glazing, lines and spots, large uniform surfaces and delicate details, which interpenetrate to create multidimensional atmospheric landscapes. He is the author of many solo and group exhibitions. He has participated in group exhibitions in Krakow, Warsaw, Gdansk, Brussels, Birmingham, Strasbourg, Seoul, Frankfurt, among others. He won third prize in the competition Bielska Jesien 1995. His works are in many collections in Europe, USA, Canada and Asia.
