Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, graduating from J. Nowosielski's painting studio in 1985. From an early age, he showed interest in portraiture, which became the main subject of his work. Portraits painted by Roman Zakrzewski have something of noble concentration and meditation in them. Very carefully composed and thought out in the most significant and indispensable elements, they give the impression of eloquent stillness and sophisticated elegance.
