The theme of the female portrait is extremely important to the painter's entire oeuvre. In it he clearly refers to the works of the old masters, such as Amadeo Modigliani, Leonardo and Botticelli. The heroine of the artist's works is almost always his wife, which gives them a special, intimate character. The inspiration of Renaissance art, the ideals of harmony and beauty, and the peculiarly muted, poetic mood of the works make up his original painterly language.
