Painter, student of the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in the studios of T. Axentowicz, J. Malczewski and K. Laszczka, soldier of the Legions. He traveled around Europe visiting Austria, Germany, Italy and France. He lived in Wiśnicz and Zakopane. In 1962 he settled permanently in Katowice. He was an outstanding portraitist, at first clearly inspired by the work of Axentowicz. He painted landscapes, still lifes and made religious compositions for churches.
