Tomasz Milanowski
He works in painting and drawing.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, from which he graduated in 1998. He studied in the studios of Prof. Stefan Gierowski, Prof. Jaroslaw Modzelewski and Prof. Krzysztof Wachowiak. He defended his diploma with distinction in Prof. Wachowiak's studio, and an annex on wall painting in Prof. Edward Tarkowski's studio. Since 1998 he has been professionally associated with his alma mater, where he runs his own studio, and since 2016 has served as dean. He is the author of numerous solo exhibitions and participant in group exhibitions at home and abroad, Scholarship recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in New York (2013). Highlights of his artistic career include participation in the international art project WestFarbe. Paint vs. Color. Prozessualität und Erscheinung Internationale together with artists: Katharina Grosse, Simon Morris or Rainer Splitt (project presented at raum2810 in Bonn, Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen, Stadmuseum Siebgurg). In 2022, he presented his works at the Flow/Flow Individual Exhibition at the Boleslaw Biegas Museum in Warsaw. In 2023, there was an exhibition called Image of Nature at Umelka Gallery in Bratislava (together with Blazej Ostoja Lniski and Maciej Aleksandrowicz).
