Painter, studied at the School of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1891 to 1894. He owes his popularity to genre and landscape themes, strongly rooted in the realities of the Polish countryside. Among his best-known motifs are genre scenes set in a winter landscape - hunting trips, sledding with sleighs. He was a very good watercolorist, his oil compositions are usually genre motifs shown against the background of a rural landscape, vast fields and pastures.
