Painter, student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, including Feliks Szynalewski, Leopold Loeffler and Jan Matejko. He continued his studies at the Munich academy. He made trips to Italy and Paris. He settled permanently in Cracow. Known mainly as a painter of Krakow's architecture, he readily drew on genre-historical subjects and legion themes.
