Stanislaw Fabijański (Parytż 1865 - Kraków 1947) - painter, illustrator, poster designer - began his artistic studies in Lvov with sculptor Leonard Marconi, then from 1883 to 1888 studied at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków, including under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz, Florian Cynk, Leopold Loeffler and Jan Matejko. In 1888, he went to Munich and studied under Alexander Wagner at the Academy there. He traveled to Italy and Paris and lived in Krakow upon his return. In oil and watercolor he painted urban views, mainly of Cracow, portraits, genre and historical scenes, fantasy and religious compositions. He was involved in illustration and sculpture.
