Painter, student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, with Feliks Szynalewski, Leopold Loeffler and Jan Matejko, among others. He continued his studies at the Munich academy. He made trips to Italy and Paris. He settled permanently in Cracow. Known mainly as a painter of Krakow's architecture, he readily drew on genre and historical subjects and legion themes.
