Biography
Teodor Ziomek was a well-known and respected landscape painter, a pupil of Wojciech Gerson and Adam Badowski at the Warsaw Drawing School and of Leon Wyczółkowski and Jan Stanislawski at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts, where he studied in 1897-1901. In 1905 he settled permanently in Warsaw, from where he traveled around the country and abroad - to Crimea, Italy, Germany, Austria. A special place in his work is occupied by winter landscapes, in which the artist gave a display of his skills in reproducing the lights and shadows unfolding on the surface of snowdrifts.
