Hipolit Lipinski-painter, representative of the artistic direction of realism. Studied: 1859-1870 and 1874-1876 at the Cracow SSP, 1870-1872 at the Munich academy. In 1875-1884 he taught drawing and painting at the A. Baraniecki Higher Courses for Women. Co-organizer of the National Museum in Cracow. Author of genre scenes of rural and urban life, he also painted folk customs, landscapes and portraits. The artist's works are in many national museums. [za: min. Wikipedia].
