Biography: Jan Nowak, born 1939 Polish primitivist printmaker, contemporary representative of naive art, of which Nikifor Krynicki was the most famous master in Poland, author of many solo and group exhibitions, his works are in permanent collections in the Silesian Museum among others.

His works combine realistic and fairy-tale elements. He participated in the 1st and 2nd Triennial of Non-Professional Art. Award-winning participant in competitions and exhibitions, including international ones. In 2018 Nowak was awarded the silver medal "Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis".
