Graphic artist associated with the Silesian artistic community. In 1958-1959 he studied graphic techniques with Stefan Suberlak at the Visual Arts Center in Katowice. A miner by profession, he worked in the "Katowice" mine for 28 years. He was a co-founder of the circle of artists "Gwarek 58" at the "Katowice" mine. In 1989 he received a permit to practice as a visual artist from the Ministry of Culture and Art. He cultivates linocut, copperplate and drypoint. The artist's works are dominated by the motif of the Silesian landscape and its inhabitants, often depicted with ornamental finesse and a wealth of thematic solutions.
