Małgorzata Kosiec, was born, works and lives in Lodz , Poland. Since she graduated with honors in 2000 from the Faculty of Graphic Arts and Painting at the Władysław Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts, she has been constantly refining her unique painting technique. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and Art. A finalist in the International Young Art 2002 program of Sotheby's auction house ,Małgorzata Kosiec 's paintings are created in parallel in two trends: abstraction and figuration. These two tendencies that interpenetrate and complement each other, creating Kosiec's characteristic style, in which the artist consistently appeals to our visuality and perception - hides the main motif, creates illusions. All works are characterized by multidimensionality, the third dimension in both abstraction and figuration is a distinctive feature of these paintings. Themain motif of Małgorzata Kosiec's paintings is a split female figure, as a reference to the complexity of nature and human identity. This dualism in Małgorzata Kosiec's work can also be understood as a commitment to tradition, also in terms of technique, with simultaneous reference to contemporary visuality associated with media excess, transience, and information chaos.
