Biography
In 1877-83 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow with Jan Matejko and in 1883-85 at the Munich Academy with Otto Seitz. He traveled to Italy, Palestine. He was president of the TPSP in Cracow for many years. The subjects of his works were genre scenes, religious scenes and portraits of young girls. His some paintings are sometimes characterized by touches of realism. He also worked as an illustrator for "Trilogy" and "Quo vadis" by Sienkiewicz, among others. He used oil and pastel techniques.
