Stanislaw Jakubowski - graphic artist, painter. Initially studied at the School of Wood Industry in Stanislawow (sculpture department), and from 1907-1912 studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow (among others with Teodor Axentowicz, Stanislaw Debicki, Leon Wyczolkowski), from 1912 a teacher in secondary education, from 1946 a lecturer, then an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. From about 1914 he was mainly engaged in artistic printmaking, a master of woodcut, also practiced metal techniques, author of about a thousand engravings, moreover, a prolific utility printmaker, an expert in ornament and Slavic themes.
