Stanislaw Topfer was involved in printmaking and applied graphics, and studied at the National Institute of Fine Arts in Cracow from 1936-39. Since 1955, artistic director of the graphic design studio of the publishing house "Iskry". He was a member of the "Group of 9 graphic artists" active in 1947-1960.
