Polish sculptor.
In 1856-1861 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Warsaw under Konstantin Hegel, and later in Dresden,Munich, Vienna, Berlin AndParis. From 1873-1886 he lived in Florence, and from 1888 in Rome. He created monuments and sculptures with allegorical themes, portraits and medallions. The most famous realizations: amonument to Adam Mickiewicz inKrakow, bust ,Juliusz Kossak from1884 decorating the facade of the Palace of Art from the side of thePlanty, "Bachantka" from 1882 depicting a young dancing girl.
