Polish painter, printmaker, art restorer and educator.Graduated from the Royal Gymnasium in Gniezno, where his passion for painting was instilled in him by Wincenty Krzemieniewski, a teacher at the school at the time. From 1894 to 1901 he continued his education in Berlin: first at a craft school , and then studied painting at the Kunsgewerbeschule. After traveling to Italy and France, he settled in Gniezno, and from 1912 in Poznan.
