The Sejm, personified in Speaker Ignacy Daszynski is depicted here as the well-known toy "Wańka - Wstańka, a puppet that, when thrown, rises by itself. Zdzislaw Czermanski (1900-1970) - Polish graphic artist, caricaturist. He studied drawing under Professor Kazimierz Sichulski in Lviv. He served in the Polish Legions. After the First World War, he cooperated with various magazines, including the weekly "Szczutek".
He was particularly famous as the author of caricatures of Jozef Pilsudski. Reportedly, the caricatures liked the Marshal so much that he had them hung up in the Belvedere.
