From Jan Lechon's description: "A picture from the period when the Sejm was adjourned time and again to prevent anti-government action, but was not dissolved so that it could have a parliamentary approved budget. The Sejm, personified in Speaker Ignacy Daszynski is depicted here as the well-known toy "Wańka - Wstańka, a puppet that, when thrown, rises by itself. In the picture, from the left: General Edward Rydz-Śmigły, Walery Slawek, Aleksander Prystor, Marshal Piłsudski, Kazimierz Świtalski, Wieniawa."
Zdzislaw Czermanski (1900-1970) - Polish graphic artist, caricaturist. He studied drawing under Professor Kazimierz Sichulski in Lviv. He served in the Polish Legions. After the First World War, he cooperated with various magazines, including the weekly "Szczutek".
He was particularly famous as the author of caricatures of Jozef Pilsudski. Reportedly, the caricatures liked the Marshal so much that he had them hung up in the Belvedere.
