Recognized folk sculptor associated with the Kielce region. He began sculpting in the 1960s. Cooperated with Cepelia, exhibited his works, among others, in the exhibition "Others" organized in Warsaw Zachęta Gallery (1965), also exhibited abroad. In 1974, he was awarded the Oskar Kolberg Prize. In his sculptural art, the artist covered a wide range of subjects, but most often he depicted saints, devils and biblical themes, as well as genre scenes from village life (including dances, rituals) and motifs from legends and tales. He did not shy away from multifaceted representations, and often combined his sculptures into cycles, such as "Jews" and "The most important events in human life."
