Biography
Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow under the direction of Wojciech Weiss and Felicjan Szczęsny Kowarski. A member of the Pryzmat group, active in 1930-1939, he practiced easel and monumental painting classified as Colorism. He painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits. In the late 1960s, he also created abstract works. He was active in teaching. He was a professor at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, the State Higher School of Fine Arts in Gdansk and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
