Aleksander MROCZKOWSKI
1850 Kraków - 1927 Stubno
Studied at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow, including with Wł. Łuszczkiewicz and J. Matejko, and at the Munich Academy with Aleksander Wagner and Otto Seitz. In 1889, he traveled to Switzerland, Italy and France. Since 1890, he lived permanently in Cracow. He wandered around towns, villages and landed estates painting portraits and genre scenes. However, he was most fond of painting landscapes. He was particularly fond of trips to the Tatra Mountains; he painted views from various parts of the mountains, which often appeared in exhibitions.
