Aureliusz Pruszyński (9.09.1847 Kasinka Mała pov. Limanowa - 22.04.1904 Kraków) Cracovian lithographer, owner of the highly regarded Aureliusz Pruszyński Artistic Lithography Workshop in Kraków established in 1873 at 17 Pijarska Street, from ca 1902 the owner of the workshop was his son Zenon Pruszyński (see SAP vol. 8 pp. 92-93). In the factory of A. Pruszyński since the end of the 19th century, the leading artists of Cracow printed their graphic works in lithography (including posters), including the famous "Teka Melpomena"
Aleksander Mroczkowski (19.11. or 25.11.1850 Krakow - 26.08.1927 Stubno near Przemyśl) painter. Studied from 1865 to 1873 at the School of Fine Arts (SSP) in Cracow under Władysław Łuszczkiewicz, Feliks Szynalewski and Leon Dembowski, from 1873 to 1877 he studied at the Munich academy and again at the SSP from 1877 to 1881 in the studio of Jan Matejko. He spent the years 1882-1888 in Munich, from 1890 settled in Cracow, and around 1920 settled in Stubno. While studying in Krakow, he wandered around the provinces and painted genre scenes, landscapes and portraits. He also later painted polychromes and sacred paintings as well as watercolors, and continued to enjoy painting landscapes often of the Tatra Mountains. He exhibited works continuously at TPSP in Krakow from 1875, in Lviv and in 1884-1906 in Warsaw; see SAP vol. 5 ss. 654-655.
