Biography
Kaczmarkiewicz studied classical architecture and art history at the University of Poznan. After receiving a scholarship in1932, he moved to Vilnius at the beginning of his career, where he studied painting under Sleńdzinski at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Stefan Batory University in Poznan. From 1929 he made illustrations for Catholic magazines. After the expulsion of Poles from Vilnius, Kaczmarkiewicz taught painting in Bytom and Katowice. From 1959 he was a member of the Union of Polish Artists.
