Biography
Anna (Hanna) Mizeracka studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1957-64. She was engaged in printmaking and applied graphics (designs for job prints and packaging) and drawing (lavaged ink), which became her favorite artistic technique. In 1964-69 she worked as a designer in the Interior Fabrics Department of the Central Design Bureau of the Light Industry, and from 1969 in the Packaging Aesthetics Department of the same institution. At the same time, she created and exhibited drawing series in solo and group shows. In the 1980s, she participated in the independent culture movement. In 1984, together with her husband, graphic designer Jacek Krzysztof Zieliński, she organized an exhibition in her own apartment, joining the wide current of home exhibitions at the time. In addition, she participated in high-profile church exhibitions: "Against Evil, Against Violence", Krakow 1985, "Time of Sadness, Time of Hope", Poznan 1985, "Polish Pieta", Poznan 1986 and others. She has won the Prize of the Museum of the Warsaw Archdiocese (1985) and the Prize of the Independent Culture Committee "Solidarity" (1986).
