France, 1807 - 1825.
Functions: Lock plate striking mechanism with strike on bell on the hour and half hour. Breguet hands for hours and minutes, winding holes above the 4 and the 8, one pendulum present. Not tested for functionality.
Case: Case designed in the shape of an apis temple with a relief of the sacred bull of Memphis Apis below the dial, which was worshipped as the embodiment of Ptah and later Osiris. Tapered shape with hieroglyphic reliefs, canopy and lancet pediment.
Dial: White enamel with black Arabic hours, minutes and baton indices. (14201832) (13))
