Born 11.12.1850 - Karlskrona, died 17.10.1921 - Stockholm. The works of MacArthur and other masters such as Rubens, Titian and Tintoretto laid the foundation for his colorful way of painting. This painter's work was dominated by an idealistic conception of art, in which beauty harmonized with truth and goodness. During his career, Kronberg created very few independent paintings, which, apart from private collections, can be found in Swedish museums, including the Hallwyl Museum (Stockholm), the National Museum (Stockholm) and the Gothenburg Art Museum. More often, he was commissioned to create large-scale murals and ceiling paintings, including at Stockholm Palace and the Royal Drama Theater in Stockholm.
