Outstanding Polish painter and printmaker. Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the atelier of Eibisch and Nacht-Samborski, participated in the Arsenal exhibition. In 1959, he was awarded the Grand Prix at the First International Biennale of the Young in Paris, and has since resided in France permanently. The protagonists of his works are characters from the world of mythology and fantasy - neither people nor animals, the artist willingly used allegory, drew on literary and biblical texts.
