German military shoulder badge awarded to soldiers who took part in the fighting in the Crimea in 1941-42. Made by die from steel plate, electroplated in a patinated bronze color. The shield was originally placed on a pad, which has not survived. On the reverse side, a bolt added (on tin) by the collector: it was probably intended to screw the badge to the cork board. This is how we used to collect.... Preserved 3 of the 4 original hooks.
Dimensions: 6.15cm x 5.4cm.
Overall condition as shown in photos.
